valentino uomo intense macy's

If you like/love iris this is your jam! Wish this came in a parfum version like the Dior Homme line got ;) this sits joint second with Dior Homme Eau and behind Parfum. First time seeing this in a store in 2 years aaaand yeah I'm a bit disappointed. Discontinued fragrances arent still listed on the maker's website. ignore those telling you how and when to wear this gem. I really love this fragrance. But to be honest, it doesnt perform so good. Very similar to Dior Homme Intense or i would say more designer version of DHI or DHP. I had a sample laying around and decided to spray it on my hand, this thing is beast mode, I sprayed ONE little spray on the back of my palm and I can smell it as I'm sitting here typing this review. It's versatile, unisex, warm and comforting. IMHO This is a Dior Homme for younger people, its alot smoother, gets more compliments. So after seeing how incredibly well received the Intense version was, I decided to blind buy a 50ml bottle of it! Only tested on paper but it felt like a strong fragrance. Compliments from all ages. It doesn't smell the same. one of my favorites, amazing iris opening. The sample that I got has a beautiful note (I guess it is mandarin) that made me like it more than DHI, but the new bottle that I bought smells almost the same as DHI. DHI is sweeter, projects a bit better, and has more Iris, but the powdery feel seems to be about the same. VUI probably wont hit the mark. I had a decant of the regular version, and absolutely adored it. A great price, great scent, this should do nicely in sales to replace the utterly stupid decision of Dior to discontinue it's Dior Homme Parfum. With further exploration you start to get the differences. You still get that lipstick quality from the iris, but it's balanced well with the dark leather and mandarin notes. The best nighttime fragrance you can buy. In my estimation, this scent is nice, but it is not, and I repeat, IS NOT similar to Dior Homme Intense. I like the Dior Homme line and was looking at this as an alternative. The iris in VUI is dialed down significantly compared to Dior Homme. I opened the box today and to my surprise the bottle looks different: there are studs on the neck of the atomizer. Maybe both. Top - Middle - Drydown, it's the same scent. But, and this isn't big deal, but I think they removed the cacao that I remember. The opening imho should be a little more citrusy but its still good. I bought because it is discontinued and very hard to find, i've never tested it before, i only have tested the original edt that i didn't liked it at all. On my skin, the clary sage and iris form an indescribably attractive accord that is entirely unique. Amazing iris / vanilla drydown. I'd say 2 hours max before it becomes a very linear skin scent. Absolutely perfect concoction that is different enough from GG EDP to warrant a purchase. I will use my bottle very sparingly in case I cant find it anymore. Im surprised others dont smell the strong orange note that I do. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. The performance is great, (7-8 hours) so its still worth buying. Uncommonly brilliant. i prefer this to DHI but not to gentleman EDP or prada lhomme intense. I understand the comparison with DHI is inevitable, but the blend here is nice in its own right. For my May, 2020 bottle, the FIL code # is B234952/1. I can see this making the all time top 30 list of evening, night, date and casual mens fragrances as a classic, for designer scents. i have the newest batch with spikes and today tested it, 3 sprays.. my friend couldn't detect this scent ..3 hours affter aplication he smelled it once, i think its very bad performance now, ill give it another try. A bit underwhelmed with this to be honest. L'Oreal sure butchered this one. The leather is rather simple and standard, nothing challenging. It smells similar to the original Valentino Uomo, so it has the same DNA but in this Version the leather is dominant. I've tried to find more of the early batches to no avail. It has vanilla which makes it sweeter. I visited Douglas yesterday and they had the new batches. WOW! @newbie-in-frag(ame): if your bottle has studs on the neck, it is the latest version = 2nd reformulation, Uomo Intense > Dior Homme Intense > Prada LHomme Parfum > Gentlemen. Love it and until I die, this will be in my collection! I do understand the comparisons to Dior Homme, but this hardly a Dior Homme clone. This is far sweeter than DHI which is more sophisticated than this. It is a sweeter version of Dior Homme Intense. For those who love Dior Homme line, this is a winner. This is a rougher, spicier (herbal), aggressive version of what would normally be a soft and sweet fragrance. I love DHI, but this is more versatile and lasts a bit longer on my skin. Whether its the opening, or part of the scent. Luxurious and alluring! It's more sweet, but less lipsticky than DHI, and therefore is a bit more mass appealing and draws more attention! I still see this listed on Valentino's US website, so I don't know where the hype about discontinuation comes from. I'm in Sephora right now, testing this scent. At first sniff, the opening seems nearly identical! I got some womens perfume samples with a purchase, i decided to test them out to check what smelled good to me , so i can buy a gift for my wifes birthday, she likes my taste. A bit similar to the Dior Homme line but ultimately a bit more wearable than DHI and DHP. Fantastic fragrance, little bit expensive for 50ml bottle but it is high quality scent that last for very long time with good projection,,,Just for fresh days of autumn,,. After several wearings,i can tell this is a good fragrance. 8/10, I love this scent, a great balance of leather and sweetness. My first warm/sweet fragrance. If anyone has info on where to find find early batches, or experiences with the new batches, I'd appreciate it. The orange seems to mainly be in the background on me. On skin, I don't notice much difference between the Puig version and the first reformulation (L'Oral). haven't tested this one a whole lot, but from what I have sampled I definitely prefer dior homme intense over this one. But it's quite similar to Dior Homme intense, Both of them are powdery and soft. It's that good! Haven't tried the second reformulation yet (spiked cap). Valentino Uomo, truly a glorious masterpiece. im sure you'll like it. However, after some time I found the vanilla in here to be too sweet. this is not something I'd wear to work, nor something I'd wear as an all day fragrance. It is so well done. I just love it! A shame that Valentino doesnt performs any better. I adore it, but DHI simply does not perform on my skin. Im not usually the biggest leather fan, but the way this leather blends seamlessly with the vanilla, and iris makes it smooth as silk. My top 3 fragrance. I have heard this has been discontinued. I used it at a dinner event and I really enjoyed wearing it. I also get slightly better performance out of DHI. If you can get a PUIG batch I highly recommend, haven't tried l'oreal so I can't speak for that. While DHI is smooth and smells definitely niche, this one has designer written all over it. This is what I've been looking for! To me this is the smell of a beautiful, classy and intelligent WOMAN. Valentino Uomo Intense is really a lovely fragrance. It is not obnoxious, yet always there. Very different and unique. It smells like smooth, clean, suede with a hint of iris and vanilla. The clary sage comes up for a moment, just to pave the way for the leather. Very nice scent. The sweet scent wave was tolerable in its initial stages with one million and versace eros but now everything is being sweetened far too much and for no other reason than to appeal to the masses, which is fucking disappointing. Love this fragrance. Very nicely done! The two are similar enough that I now feel like I can get my DHI fix without worrying about exhausting my current bottle. Performance is good and it will last you some time. I never thought Id write a review but I was compelled to do so. Surprised to see this one is marketed to men, on my skin it leans feminine. I Just got this wonderful perfume today..and I wish I could live inside the bottle. It does have that makeup bag lipstick smell but its blended so well; if you like iris youll be a sucker for this one. Here are my thoughts after directly comparing them over a few days. The scent itself is incredible with a dominant iris supported by sweet components. it's sweet and powdery. There's an aromatic opening which is gone in mere seconds, and then the buttery iris takes over. Perhaps it's this association that keeps me from viewing it as a scent to be worn on someone as a fragrance. Not a single bit of a thing! Soon after the initial application the leather and iris fully develop, the iris creates a mild and projecting powdery accord. The scent is strong and long. Given you bought it recently. Spend ur money on a Dior HI or Roi d'Orient. I sprayed twice; once on each arm to test it. Have a great day! Not complaining tho. Feminine it is. I can't even lie.. As much as I love the entire Dior Homme line, and Dior Homme Original EDT is and always will be my favourite scent in the history of mankind, Uomo Intense does it for me more than Dior Homme Intense does. Leathery vanillait smells wonderful! VUI though is the one I consistently like and it is in my most liked fragrances. Intense has the masculine kick that regular Uomo is missing. Reminds me of a more playful, sweet DHI. I'm a woman who likes mostly niche unisex scents; most of the designer feminine and masculine scents just grate on me. i have tested this gem and DHI for several times and tell you my opinion. This was a blind buy based on all the reviews likening VUI to my beloved DHI. So, someone I know traveled to the Netherlands and purchased 100ml of this juice for yours truly. The 2022 Dior Homme Original, Is still the king of all the Iris dominant fragrances available on the market this days. It's a pleasant powdery vanilla. It's available on the Valentino website and elsewhere as of today. VUI can usually be found for cheaper, and lasts longer at 8 hours on my skin, while DHI only gives me 5-6. Now I get some vanilla; it's not overly sweet, though. ), Simply, A killer. If you can, rock this, you will not be disappointed! DEFINATELY buy a decant or sample before purchasing a bottle. I am actually surprised by the comparisons to Givenchy's Gentleman to be honest. Instead, I love the warmth of the tonka bean, mandarin orange and vanilla mixed with the dark leather to give a sweet and rich vibe. I am I love with this scent. It opens up promising with iris, leather, chocolate and some sweetness but after an hour or so the pear and vanilla ice cream kinda vanilla, take over. I finally have some mild appreciation for this. deodorant ysl eau nordicfeel Hello everyone, I decided to leave a review about this composition right now, they say, after they began to produce the aroma in France, it changed, it seemed, it lost its durability, and so on, listen, I have 3 bottles of different years of production 2016 2017 2020 and there is no difference between them, they are absolutely the same in resistance to the train and density. Ive decided to give my husband the original Uomo and keep this one for myself Theres something about Valentino and strong, enduring drydowns. Very well blended. VUI has a clean and expensive smelling leather base while DHI has a soft woody musk. Really nice. Sparkling Bergamot + Mandarin Orange oil + waxy lipstick Iris + aromatic Sage + smoky Incense + Leather + dark & sweet Tonka + dark Musk + Powder + peppery Cedar Oil + dark Vanilla. I love this scent a lot and even if the projection could be better, it is really a great scent. However, the notes listed are not the same anymore. Not sure why, but get something similar to Iceberg Man with this one. Untrained nose? Id say it is definitely more for night time or more fall/winter occasions, and the longevity is wonderful I was able to smell it even after a shower. Longevity is great too, I will wear this on a night out and wake up smelling like VUI. Sillage is impressive, I don't even know how large the scent bubble is but I get nonstop whiffs of myself for hours using just 2 sprays. Amazing performance and a beautifully blended scent. These are a little bit more accessible with the sweeter notes, this has a note that's reminiscent of a mocha or some other type of sweet coffee. I absolutely love Iris fragrances as well. ok first off I could do with the communities help. I get the lipstick scent vibe but its so gorgeous. My batch is from 2016, and is an incredible Powdery Leathery Vanilla. It's impeccable! Had to wash it down after that so I can't speak about performance or the smell after a few hours. I'm gonna be honest and admit I don't like it for me. The Iris is just too much for me. It was the last box left and was the same price as the newer one. Season: fall and sometimes in winter too, early spring especially dull days. @Shave-a-Ton just saw a spiked bottle online, its box says FIL #B264197/1, batch code 22U31YP. I am still teetering on how i feel about iris. I don't get the comparison to DHI. I kept thinking what is that awesome smell? As it starts to be almost impossible to get 2011 Dior Homme Intense these days and I do not really enjoy reformulated 2020 version, I picked up a bottle of Valentino Uomo Intense to find out what it's all about. edp toilette ysl vaporisateur parfumdo bloomingdale avis beaute bloomingdales DHI has more going on with it and is the one which i personally like more. One of the most beautiful openings to any fragrance ever. I own Uomo Intense and I have been testing out a sample of Gentleman and in my humble opinion, Gentleman is way sweeter! The heavier the sprays, the heavier the projection. Identical performance and scent as Puigs bottlings. But when when spraying one on each hand and comparing VUI and DHI side by side, I am loving them both! Love it! I guess some people get more of that lipstick aroma--and, sure, the iris is present, but it's not the driving force behind this fragrance. Just wow. The dry down is unexpectedly sweet but on a bad way, not pleasant for what I was expecting. VUOI smells so sophisticated, without it being too dark, it adds the orange on to the opening, before transforming you into the knight in shining armour. Lasts very long and has good sillage. Powderly iris note is very strong. This is sooooooooo good! The leather is noticeable a bit later on, in which it blends into a nice blend of iris, vanilla, and leather. They are not even close except that iris in the opening. It smells so expensive and classy. Reduces to a heavier version in 2 hours and loses silage at same ratio. @claytonh42 I havent smelled any of the old batches but I have one from January 2021, the one with the black rectangle on the box, and it smells amazing. I just think there's something a little bit extra that brings that fragrance up to a 10/10, this is a very strong 9/10! Valentino Uomo Intense has better smell to me personally. This fragrance screams elegance. Both present themselves more as it enters the mid. They must have bought old stock from somewhere. This fragrance is not only sexy, but drydown to me smells like the scent of body on body Intense sex in a bottle. I like it but i don't love it! Using my last bottle sparingly because I'm afraid to run out. Great for colder weather and night time wear. I love them both, but VUI just beats out DHI as one of my top 5 frags. This scent is for a confident and charismatic guy that breaks the rules. To bad they are discontinuing it, why Valentino?!!! Iris also takes a back seat, leather vanishes. Just great all around, The most complimented fragrance I own. To me it smells just like vanilla and tonka bean with faint iris in the background. But I enjoy the VUI a little bit better! VU is sublime, more delicate and delicious. Many thanks. Performance is fantastic and lasts for days on clothes. Glad I only bought a sample. I still think regular Uomo leans more masculine, but Intense has a much more masculine kick, which I love as a man. Ladies around me love it even more and they all said the word "Classy" when they smelled it. I recently got a 50 ml of the 2016 version and it layers so well with many of my other iris/incense/sweet scents. It is in my opinion the best release of 2016. Literally in the middle of writing this my grocery delivery arrived. The dry down reminds me of a mix of CH Prive for Men and Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka. Love at first sniff! Hi y'all. I've tried a few iris forward fragrances such as DHI, Prada l'Homme, PdM Galloway but all of them had something that didn't convince me. but thats another topic for another day. The rich Iris and leather scents come thru nicely. This one is 90% smell like Dior Homme Intense, just more well blended, To me I prefer this one more than Dior Homme Intense, very sexy Iris scent. My nose was not trained to handle Leather/iris scents, but I was very into vanilla still am! Have a fresh bottle made in France under L'Oral. There is some pleasantness hiding in there now. I like violets for women and myself. Iris note, does give off the makeup scent explained by others. This could definitely be a signature scent, something you wear to work or date nights. I just received my 1.7oz bottle of Valentino Uomo Intense in the mail. I first sampled this fragrance back in 2018. Oh yeah, it smells wonderfulthis is my first impression: initially the iris is very similar to that of DHI. Leather, iris, vanilla, and then dries down to be soft and powdery, with that sweetness in the background. On the other hand, DHI (i have 2015 batch) lasts and projects much longer. Sillage and projection is good for couple hours and then sits a little closer but definitely not a skin scent. Are the new batches worth looking into? I own both, and theres no reason not to own both. Warm, sweet and intriguing. I actually prefer this one on myself (Donnas rose is verrry sweet). My favorite cologne of all time. VUI is no exception. A shame its getting discontinued buy while you can its a cheap monster of a fragrance. Get this and never buy Valentino Uomo the original again. The Valentino Uomo DNA is right there Bang! There's something fresh and maybe 5 min into it you get a big, chunky chocolate bar. It is sweet, but not too sweet. This was made in France, batch code 38W100B. While I do think that it's a fantastic fragrance, I don't think it's quite as a high a quality fragrance as, say, Dior Homme Original.
