The colour "Tidepool" is a name given to the blue on the new "Player Series" instruments, but it's de-facto Ice Blue Metallic (a colourname used in the 1960's). I've seen pictures and video were it looks even grayer and more washed-out than example A (which kind of looks like well-lit Lake Placid Blue to me), all the way to your example C. LPB seems to have similar issues with being accurately conveyed. Blue is one of those colours that can go with a lot depending on the shade. Versatile enough to handle almost anything you can create and durable enough to survive any gig, this workhorse is a trusty sidekick for your musical vision. by mortron Fri May 22, 2020 6:17 am, Post Does anyone know which of the three colors in the image are an accurate representation of the color "Tidepool"? Evansville, IN 47715 | I've seen it in person. The pics here help. This has been posted before, but it's ice blue metallic beside firemist silver. Post I suspect they might be quite similar colors, actually. Man, thank you for posting this; I've been wondering the same thing. Doesnt have to be an offset although of course that would be lovely. It's like a slightly faded and darker Lake Placid Blue, and I'm not sure why Fender doesn't produce more of these. Yeah in this video it doesn't look like A, B or C: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJka4VXtde0 - well maybe B (I'm guessing if it's a metallic blue lighting will effect the shade a bit). Firemist Silver has been on my list of dream colors to own a guitar in forever partly because I do love that it has that hint of blue in there. Tidepool is very similar to what current (or at least Mexican current) lake placid blue looks like, you need to put them right next to each other with the light on the same angle to tell the difference. It's part of what I love about Fenders. The feel, the style and, most importantly, the soundtheyre all there, waiting for you to make them whisper or wail for your music. I'll see if I can get some shots of the Tele with the pearl pickguard, seems all the decent ones I have it still has the original tortoise. I'd be upset if I ordered guitar A and got C (or vice versa) as they are totally different colors. It's slightly misleading, but Firemist Silver is actually a blue color. As someone who has a thing for blue guitars - I have Jazzmasters in Ocean Turquoise, Daphne, and Sonic blue - I am curious to see pics of guitars any of you might have in some of the following colors - ice blue metallic, tide pool, and lake placid blue. One of my favorite colors was the "Old Lake Placid Blue" that is/was common on a lot of CIJ guitars. Fender has had some great colours and combos over the years. By the end of it, there were a couple colours I couldn't distinguish anymore. I figure one day I'll just splurge and get one of those Wildwood ones. Bold, innovative and rugged, the Player Telecaster is pure Fender, through and through. It really seems to be a nebulous color as far as pictures go.
