the first batch of the Gents' collection is the one to have, the one with the green juice inside, heavy on oakmoss and anice and all those wonderful notes, sillage and projection are stellar, last versions are very poor performers, that first batch from A1 till A71 are just great, all the rest is a waste of moneyavoid! It worked for a while, but now, alas it is definitely empty. Its very tame and almost lighter than most current releases. As a lover and owner of many of the best classes of Fougeres, this one stands on its own. Me, I buy fragrances that I like to smell on myself, and I love Tuscany. There is a very slight soapy vibe I get in the drydown but it's fleeting. It's a bit harsh at first, with a strong natural lemon note, but it soon becomes much smoother and more woody, and apologizes a bit for initially overpowering you. I felt nostalgic today a did a revisit of this fragrance. Overall nice. Save it for cooler days and nights. It is such a nice, classy, spicy fragrance. Smells like what i think would be a barbershop fragrance, back in the days when you would get your haircut with your dad and the barber would put aftershave on you, im thinking early 90's era. This is an herbal slap in the face by a sharply-dressed 40-year-old Italian playboy millionaire. Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. I do like this scent but not love. This is the easy-reach holy grail leather chypre. Not only that, but there's enough of that older juice still available on the market so you don't have to break the bank to get it (maybe 10~20% more over the current formulation, or even less if partially used). amazing scent that lasts a long time. Sillage as with other Aramis fragrances I have tried is moderate yet leaning strong but in an effervescent and airy way, while longevity is actually quite good. Classic gentleman fragrance, beautifully executed. Not the reformulated version which I will have to try. I have only tested the reformulated version and I can agree with everyone else that this smells like Azzaro Pour Homme. I have never had a history of Tuscany until now. Online right now: 3,061, Fragrantica in your language: This is for the hairy-chested man who knows what he wants and works hard for it; that's the sort of vibe I get from it. straight up grandpa scentover 65 only! wonderful scent of the 80's ! Years ago, I had a sleazy manager at my job that wore this. . Tuscany is its own thing, just enough, and I like it a good deal. a true powerhouse by aramis! Lighter Azzaro PH. Think of it as a much spicier Azzaro Pour Homme. I find Tuscany's patchouli dry-down to be less "soapy" than that of AzzaroVery smooth patchouli. I'm wearing this today in cooler weather and appreciating aspects of it I had not noticed before. use it from my childhood until now and never get bored of it )), this was heavenly good on my boyfriend back then in the 90's.. kept me sniffing his neck all the time. Very rustic, very versatile, very nice. Tuscany Per Uomo is a perfume I had never seen in my country, and, for quite a long time, I thought I would never be able to find itwell, last Saturday, it found me in a store in my hometown! Masculine, solid and ageless. Its harsh , very harsh in the opening, but settles down in a warm soothing aroma. But the older version is much much better. There is some of the original Aramis here, but it is subtle and updated. Men who are mentors without intending to be. The most beautiful leather-turning-to soft natural moss male chypre in existence. Went through a couple of bottles of that then moved on to different things (sometimes better, sometimes worse). really nice masculine scent but w/ anough lime for a female to wear as well-I rec'd this from a cousin whose signature scent it is and sort of use it as a comfort smell-the earthiness magnifies the association and gives it a lot of warmth, Opinion: We Dont Need to Worry So Much about Fragrance Reviewer Credibility, First Fragrances: Dolce & Gabbana for Women (1992), Davidoff Cool Water Street Fighter Champion Summer Editions for 2021, WPC: Interview With Alexandre Illan, Perfumer of the Rammstein Line and More, Tropical Vacations with Tommy Bahama Fragrances, Tuscany Per Uomo Aramis: Friday Dresscode Cologne, Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh Eau de Parfum, Original vs Flanker: Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds, Sparkling, & Night. Last year I found Tuscany somewhere and bought , batch code was A97. Good for every season and good for office wear too. I like it very much, however in the same category I think Azzaro Pour Homme is even better, more complex and refined with a better dry-down. Tuscany per uomo is good scent until now. I love this as it's really classy. Aramis tuscany on me is beautiful in the colder months in summer is totally unwearable or becomes pungent and to strong. The strong patchouli and sandalwood notes from Azzaro are less obvious here. Spicey heaven!!! It worked well for dates, semi-formal occasions, and even with jeans and a leather jacket. I find it to be very similar to Azzaro PH (which is my all-time favorite fragrance). To me, it is the lemon that gives this the right to be called Tuscany, though probably a Tuscan autumn rather than summer because of the slight nip in the air that the herbs convey to me. Tuscany must have been a beast in the 80's and sought after. House of Aramis is truly becoming my favourite - in terms of price/value it is hard to beat. One hour later still lavender reminding me of lavender soap and talcum powder by Yardley. to me tuscany has a pleasant barbershop feel and is similar to azzaro pour homme. A waste of $65.00. After years of happiness with Azzaro PH, I finally decided to replace my used bottle with Aramis Tuscany thanks to the many serious reviews here both positive and, well, somewhat negative. This used to be called Etruscan, right? I'm writing my second review on it because there is so much to discover over time with the newer formulation. and thanks is still alive! I bewailed using the last of these samples after a year or so. Drawn immediately to TPU for its savory herbal qualities and sustained fresh citrus. Warmth and sophistication. the opening has a great bergamot, lemon bite then settles to a bunch of other good smellin stuff. It was just o.k. One last tip: This is not civilized. Its citrus and lavender accord is very crisp and clean, and I love how basil, caraway, and tarragon interact in the heart, forming a grassy herbal freshness around coumarin and anise. This perfume is very much different from original Azzaro as someone compared. Tuscany is almost perfect , 9/10. I was sold for life. A bit similar to Azzaro PH, but absolutely not interchangable. It's masculine, spicy with a very long lasting smell. Warming and v refreshing. I've tried a few different smells on him and this is the only one we agree on - well done Estee Lauder! Wore this when it first came out as a teenager and really forgot what it smelled like. I dont understand all the complaints. Not excessive sillage, but enough. More leather notes present in it, and a lot spicier. From start to finish this is awesome and it smalls amazing. I have several Aramis Men's frag which I have acquired over the last 1 1/2 yrs. There is the lavender like Azzaro, but much more dependence on spicy citrus. It had a rich smell, reminded me of clovesI thought I would try it again 20 years later and bought a bottle at Macy's. Havana just ages the wearer so much, and conjures very specific images. In my opinion, the best ever from this house - Vintage Tuscany Per Uomo is truly a modern classic. oh the memories! This great harsh opening of citrus, caraway and leather. This is fantastic. i read somewhere that it went under the name etruscan "in the good old days". In the 80s, when it was worn by everybody, one could perhaps long for something more original instead, however in the age of aquatic crowdpleasers, these masterfully blended powerhouses have acquired almost a niche vibe. Reformulation is missing the leather, and only slightly spicey. It's just fuller and more satisfying. However, I still wear it on business trips because I like it and she's not around to hold her nose and make that face. This came out in 1984, at a time when masculine powerhouse scents were being released in abundance. Ripped your balls off that's what!!!!". I have a feeling that this is one of those fragrances that appeals more over time. I remember over 20 years ago being a recently married,(not-quite-starving) art student, going from store to store trying to score free samples of this (they gave away minis at the time). Longevity is above average and the opening projects quite well for the first few hours. Just the begining is similar. It really is one of the first three piece suit scents that I smelled as a kid. I loved it for its softness, velvety smoothness, exceptional blending, and relative classiness as compared to the other much more "in your face" aromatic fougeres of the day. Priceless fragrance. For $15, I say its a win. I have been wearing it since the mid 1980's and it is still one of my favorites. Aramis Tuscany and Devin are definately cornerstone for todays woody perfumes same as Eau sauvage or Guerlein Vetiver, so if you are Classy man, this one is for you. Smells intimate. This is a classic! It reminds me of like a wealth-off uncle. Longevity is excellent as with all of Aramis fragrances and projection is good too and you will get compliments. It's sensible, friendly, unique, and it still exerts a masculinity that commands respect. I just want to add that Aramis do not reformulate is fragrances. by Beth Carsten, John Biebel, Miguel Matos. Every now and then, working on the principle that "there's always one more spray in the bottle" I would revisit the bottle to see if there was perhaps that one last spray. As others have stated, the opening is a little harsh - straight up citric alcohol, but then it mellows to a spicy leather scent that is kept from being heavy by orange blossom and anise. It used to be a light golden brown; now a shade of yellowy green similar to Aramis Devin. The dry down on this smells almost like a natural body odor mixed with some spices. This is a very manly and mature smell that will be sure to add 10 years to anyone wearing it. A dead ringer of Rive Gauche in the dry down, which is excellent news given the limited availability of RG. I happened upon a vintage bottle by chance and bought it for about $50. I recently picked this one up a 3.4oz bottle for roughly 20 dollars. My dad really really loves this cologne and I love it too. I don't like this cologne. Ive never smelled the vintage version, but i can tell you now this is just heaven. Why? I told him how good he smelled and he beamed from ear to ear. Its drydown is a smooth leather-sandalwood-patchouli-oakmoss base, traditional to an 80s fougere. Along comes my Vintage bottle of this, brand new today. Unfortunately this performance has been lost over the years, I recently bought a bottle from batch A41 and longevity is 4 hours at best.
